HOW ENGAGEMENTS WORK
Most engagements are a fractional retainer. Many start with The Operating Baseline, a short fixed-scope diagnostic, so we both know what the work is.
WAYS TO ENGAGE
MODEL
WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE
Fractional retainer
Ongoing senior leadership for a set number of days each month
The Operating Baseline
A fixed-scope diagnostic taking about five days of senior time over about four weeks
Interim
About four days a week for a fixed term, to cover a gap or lead a separation
Focused project
A defined piece of work, such as technology due diligence on a live deal
Board / NED
Board-level challenge on technology, data and cyber risk
The examples show the shape of each option, not past engagements. We discuss fees with you directly and set them out in your proposal.
What’s the difference between interim and fractional?
Interim is close to full-time, about four days a week for a fixed term, usually to fill a gap or lead a big change. Fractional is ongoing senior leadership for a set number of days each month, for a business that needs C-suite judgement but not a full-time hire. Advisory is lighter still: a senior sounding board for the CEO or board.
Can you work with our existing team?
Yes. We lead and support the people you already have, and bring in the rest of our senior team only where the brief needs it.
The Operating Baseline
In about five days of senior time, spread over about four weeks, we look at your systems, data, commercial systems, suppliers and contracts, security and data protection, and how technology is organised. You get:
(01)
A one-page red, amber and green summary for the board, in plain English.

(02)
A picture of your spend and suppliers, with renewal dates and the main savings and exit options.

(03)
Estimates of the cost to fix and the cost to scale.

(04)
A costed roadmap for the first 100 days and the next 12 months.

(05)
A recommendation on the leadership you need, which might be none.

Groups with several entities, due diligence on a live deal, and specialist reviews of operations, go-to-market or people need more time. We'll say so up front.
HOW IT'S ARRANGED

One conversation to start.

One proposal, with scope and terms in writing.
